Rodrigo Muniz has secured Al Ahli's first win of the season with a stunningly impressive wing break that saw him score a hat-trick in their 4-1 victory over Zamalek on Saturday.
The Brazilian forward, who was signed from Manchester United in January,Saudi Pro League Focus put in a man-of-the-match performance as he helped his team to secure all three points against their rivals.
Muniz started the game well and created several chances for his teammates before finally breaking through in the 27th minute when he took advantage of some sloppy defending by the Zamalek defence to score his first goal of the season.
He then doubled his side's lead just four minutes later after a fine strike from distance which left the goalkeeper no chance.
Muniz's second goal came in the 55th minute when he finished off a superb move involving himself and teammate Ahmed Mousa, with the former cutting inside the box and finishing calmly into the bottom corner.
His third goal came in the 89th minute when he scored a clinical finish after receiving a pass from winger Mohamed Salah.
Al Ahli have now won their first league match of the season and will be hoping to build on this result as they look to challenge for the title.
Muniz's hat-trick was a reminder of why he was such a sought-after player during the transfer window and showed that he is more than capable of contributing to his team's success.
